Board Game - Lead Development
As a celebration of Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary two new sets for Monster Hunter: World were released; Picking Bones and Elder Dragon Kirin.
These sets introducted refinements to the core mechanics coming in Iceborne such as changes to; potions and sharpening, and time cards.
With these sets being designed for entrenched fans, we were able to exploure more involved and unusual mechanics like Great Girros having regular Girros in its encounters, ,Radobaan's bone armour and rolling attacks, and Kirin's lightning area effects.
Responsibilities
- Lead developer on the project, developed and iterated on the monster designs along side the lead designer.
- Managed playtesting and playtest feedback.
- Expanded the gameplay spreadsheet that was used extensively through the project to balance and playtest the game.
- Designed each mechanic and gameplay identity for each new monster weapon type.
